6 week summer dance performance session with Dance Therapy 508 at The 204, Cultural and Art Municipal Building located at 204 Sisson Road in Harwich. Students will explore different styles of hip hop and African dance. We will have class discussions & literature on the culture behind the style of dance . Students will use what they've learned to create performance pieces. Students will learn choreographed pieces as well have the opportunity to choregraph their own individual and group pieces allowing them to explore their artistic expression and creativity. Performance pieces will be performed at Dance Therapy 508's annual signature summer "United We Dance" for the Harwich Cultural District Sunday August 20th at Brooks Park .

Dance experience isnt necessary however students should have a willingness to learn, a passion for music and dance , have interest in performing arts and want to perform. Students of all abilities are welcome. Dance Therapy 508 believes in providing a comfortable and judgment free environment where students are encouraged to express their true self through music and movement. Students are expected to work as a team as well as respect each other's talents and creativity in class.

Session runs for 6 weeks Tuesdays & Thursdays from 9:30am- 11:30am

Grades 6-8.

Cost : $200.00
