“United We Dance”
August 29th, 2021 Dance Therapy 508 hosted its first event “United We Dance” United We Dance was a free event bringing the community together with culture through movement for all ages and abilities. The event featured local instructors and dancers from Boston offering different style dance classes throughout the day, food and vendors. The dance styles featured at “United We Dance” 2021 were African, Brazilian Capoeira, Krump, Hip Hop, Egyptian Belly Dance and Apothicdance. The idea of the event was to introduce the community to the Cultural Dance Education Program that Dance Therapy 508 is currently building. The program will offer non traditional different style ethnic dance that you wouldn’t necessarily find on the Cape. In the program not only will students learn the dance, but also the culture and history behind it. Dance Therapy 508 plans to hold “United We Dance” every summer for the community.
